The evening will include a free screening of Prison Fellowship’s latest documentary, A New Day 1, and a panel discussion exploring the unique challenges of reentry for incarcerated men and women in DC.

Every year, 600,000 men and women return to our communities from incarceration. Ninety-five percent of prisoners will one day come home, but because of their criminal record, they face significant barriers to housing, employment, and other elements of a productive life.

The reentry process is neither simple nor easy, but we all have a role to play in helping our returning neighbors to reach their full potential. When you give someone a second chance, the entire community stands to benefit.
